Lord Methuen RA (1891 – 1975) Anthony, 5th Baron, Lord Methuen

Inherited Corsham Court in Wiltshire, which from 1946 to 1986 housed the Bath Academy of Art.  The Academy included among its teachers many of the key figures in British fine art such as Kenneth Armitage, Terry Frost, Peter Lanyon, Adrian Heath, Bernard Meadows, William Scott and Sir Howard Hodgkin. Walter Sickert was one of the staff and became a mentor to Methuen.
